Preschool Open Gardens 2026
Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th March 2026
An autumn take on a perennial favourite
Braidwood Open Gardens are back this March.
One of Braidwood's most beloved events the Braidwood Open Gardens returns this year, offering a fresh twist in time for the freshening mornings. Usually held in spring, the Gardens committee have arranged an autumn edition for the event’s enthusiastically anticipated return. This means new perspectives on some of Braidwood's most iconic gardens, new opportunities for expression and inspiration from arguably the most beautiful season in our region.
This year, visitors will see the return of some of Braidwood’s admired destination gardens, as well as a number of new private gardens, never before shared. It's important to Open Gardens organisers that there is a variety within the program to demonstrate that special, creative places are not only found within grand heritage properties and homesteads, but also within the smaller spaces, working yards and newly built pockets of our town.
This diverse selection means everybody will find something for inspiration, motivation and delight. Whether you love the expansive dreamscapes of a formal garden estate, or the serenity and practical abundance of an intimate domestic retreat.
Choose your own adventure over the weekend by buying an all garden pass. This allows you to pick and choose which gardens you visit when across the weekend, and return as many times as you like. Make a day trip of it by driving out to Mill Pond and Mona Farm. Or put on your walking shoes and enjoy gardens in town with a spot of lunch and coffee in between. As always, all proceeds go towards supporting the wonderful Braidwood Preschool, and by extension the youngest members of our community.
Weekend highlights include;
A cake stall and locally grown Dahlias for sale on Saturday at Longsight.
Easter Raffle tickets for sale at each garden gate.
All garden entry tickets places you in the running to win a garden structure package by The Garden Cupboard. Prizes on display at Millpond.
