Braidwood Library Visit

We recently visited Braidwood Library for a special storytime.

Before we left the children shared their thoughts and experiences about the library. We talked about the importance of using our quiet voices and the wonderful books we would see and read during our visit.

When we arrived, we explored the library and heard from the librarian about the different categories of books available to borrow. We then ventured into a special room filled with children’s books, where the librarian, Keirsten, read us an exciting pirate story. Afterwards, she showed us how to make our very own pirate hats!

The children were very eager to borrow books to take back and read at preschool. Each child chose a book, had it scanned, and we brought them back with us to enjoy before returning them and borrowing new ones.

It was a wonderful opportunity to explore and connect with our local library and all it has to offer.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
